    A 38 year old Taiwanese mother and her five children, in detention two years, community detention on a RD since July 2005. Two children born in Australia, another child due September 2006. Paternity issues, possible Australian father. De facto may have a serious mental illness. Review/courts: RRT/FMC/FC.
    Ombudsman’s recommendation: That removal be delayed pending resolution of paternity issues.

    59 year old PRC man, in detention two years. Now in Residential Housing Centre with his de facto (Report 069/06). Anxiety and mild depression, inpatient treatment for cancer. PRC Consular visit. Review/courts: RRT/FC/FFC.
    Ombudsman’s recommendation: Not to be removed while receiving cancer treatment; DIMA to consider alternative accommodation or detention (in a larger city).

    55 year old PRC woman (and a permanent resident of Hong Kong) in detention four years. Now in Residential Housing Centre with her de facto (Report 068/06). Diagnosed with diabetes and on antidepressant medication. Identity issues and PRC Consular visit. Review/courts: RRT/FC/FFC (decision pending).
    Ombudsman’s recommendation: Not to be removed while her de facto is receiving cancer treatment; DIMA to consider alternative accommodation or detention (in a larger city).
