    Ombudsman’s suggestions: that DIAC consider sending a letter to Mr X acknowledging the inconvenience he suffered upon his discharge from VIDC, and that DIAC consider allowing detainees, once granted a visa, to remain voluntarily in an IDC until they have had time to make appropriate arrangements to live in the community.
