    Iranian citizen aged 47 detained for four years and four months including 18 months in IRPC; adjustment disorder with anxiety and depressed mood, features of post-traumatic stress disorder, detained with daughter in IDC, allegations of sexual contact with daughter, placement in Management Unit, removal of daughter without father’s knowledge. Granted TPV then PV.
    Ombudsman’s recommendations: that DIAC, by initiating an internal review, reflect on this case and use it to identify weakness or gaps in its policy and procedures and that an apology be sent to Mr X and his daughter.
