  Ombudsman’s recommendation: that the Minister consider what alternative detention arrangements are available for Mr X, including Community Detention, while he awaits medical clearance to be removed to Vietnam.

  Ombudsman’s recommendation: that Ms X and Mr Y be placed in Community Detention while their immigration status is resolved and until decision made, recommends transfer to Immigration Residential Housing to assist transition into Community Detention.

  Ombudsman’s recommendation: again recommends that Mr X be placed in Community Detention while awaiting removal and that a new medical assessment be conducted that addresses Mr X’s methadone-dependence and fitness for travel.
